The company was established\u00a0in 1936 in Finland, and the first radiosondes were manufactured\u00a0in the basement of a residential building\u00a0in\u00a0the center of Helsinki.\u00a0From a modest start, the company evolved to become a world leader in many measurement fields.<\/p>\n<p>Today Vaisala employs over 1,850 people and exports 98% of its production to over 150 countries.
